From Loose Ring to Part Number
A loose retaining ring is genuinely hard to identify. Its free diameter differs from the shaft size it fits, callipers flex it as you measure, and the standards ladder is dense with near-identical sizes. Olypsys measures it without touching it, then names it.

Near Sizes, Told Apart
A 28 mm and a 29 mm external circlip differ by less than a millimetre of free diameter. Olypsys measures repeatably to a few hundredths of a millimetre, then shows the best match alongside ranked alternatives drawn with real geometry, so you can see why the winner won.
Close sizes are ranked with match scores, so near-neighbours are never mistaken for each other.

Nothing squeezes or springs the ring during measurement, so the reading reflects the part as it actually is. Readings repeat to within 0.05 mm.
